Five of them are free to open right now. Futurisca runs the whole world simulator in the browser with no signup. Counterfirm builds a twin of a company from three files. Kinnomy is free for two people, with the Emergency card free on every plan. LastAwarded answers every question for one industry code at no cost. Gracekeeps is free to start, and free outright wherever an employer or an insurer is paying for it. KindSplit answers your first questions free, without a card. Kept Plans is open in six hundred and eighty-five cities, and a free plan costs nothing but the hold, which comes back when you turn up.

The person.
Background · Practice · Philosophy
I am Lewis Byron De La Paz. I build businesses from the system and UX outward: the strategy, the operations, the software and the brand, designed, built and run as one thing. My background is in architecture, engineering and art, and it shows up in all of it.
Bespoke Business Development is my advisory practice, where that method becomes a client service. LastAwarded, miya.life, Mnememory, Futurisca, Counterfirm, Kinnomy, Gracekeeps, KindSplit, Kept Plans and the Neural Sector Intelligence are my laboratory: products I designed, engineered, launched and run, so the advice comes from something I have had to do myself. Operations management and artificial intelligence sit at the center of the work.
I am finishing a degree in Organizational Management, I have published three books, and I write, direct and cut my own films. I like to make things. Whatever needs making.
Before you write.
Five honest questions
Writing to somebody and getting a polite no three weeks later wastes your time more than mine. Five questions, answered here rather than in an email, and you get a straight read on whether this is worth either of our afternoons.
- 01 Is there a real decision-maker on your side?
- 02 Do you know roughly what it should cost?
- 03 Has somebody already tried and failed at this?
- 04 Can the deadline move if the work needs it to?
- 05 Are you looking for a partner or a pair of hands?

Questions.
Asked often · Answered once
01What do you take on?
Advisory on operations, positioning, and the systems behind a small business or a product. One or two engagements a quarter, so the making stays the point. Design and build work is taken when the brief is right.
02What do you not take on?
Hourly work, open-ended retainers without a shape, and anything I would have to pretend a team is doing. If it needs ten people, I will say so and point you somewhere better.
03How does pricing work?
Value-based and fixed for the scope, never by the hour. You will know the number before anything starts, and it will not move unless the scope does.
04How fast do you reply?
I read every serious enquiry myself, and reply within a week when the work looks like a fit. If it is not a fit I would rather say so briefly than leave you guessing.
05Where are you?
Eastern time, United States. Everything runs remote and asynchronous by default; calls when they earn it.
06Can I just talk about the books?
Yes. Write the same address. Readers get replies too.
The switchboard.
Patch it yourself
Rather than a dropdown, a patch bay. Drag a cable from what you need on the left to how it would run on the right. Whatever you patch rides along with your note.

One line in your hand
No account, no name. Draw one line and keep it, and it stays on this wall with everyone else's, drawn back in the order they arrived. Rude marks get wiped.
